So you know exactly where you stand: My Holiday Reisecenter arranges handpicked holiday villas as well as supplementary services such as airport transfers. We are not a tour operator in the legal sense – with one important exception.
When do we become an "agent of linked travel arrangements"?
As soon as you book multiple travel components within 24 hours with us – e.g. villa + airport transfer (and in the future villa + rental car) – this combination legally constitutes a linked travel arrangement under § 651w BGB. We are required to protect your customer funds against our insolvency – for this we have an insurance certificate from R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG.
Two types of protection
Depending on what you book, a different mechanism protects you. In either case you as a customer are protected.
You book a villa only
Example: You rent a villa in Bodrum for two weeks without booking any additional services through us.
In this case, it is purely an agency service. The contractual partner for the accommodation is the respective villa owner. Your payment to the owner is protected by their applicable security mechanisms.
You combine villa + additional components
Example: Within 24 hours you book a villa and an airport transfer through us.
This combination constitutes a linked travel arrangement under § 651w BGB. Here our own insurance certificate from R+V Allgemeine Versicherung AG applies.

Should we become insolvent before the start of your journey, you will receive a refund of all payments made to us.
Return trip secured
If the insurance case occurs during your trip and transportation was part of the contract, necessary return travel costs are covered.

In the event of a claim, you contact R+V directly – using the insurance certificate number from your booking documents.

Are you a tour operator?
No. My Holiday Reisecenter GbR is a travel agent. We present handpicked holiday villas on behalf of their respective owners and arrange supplementary travel services such as airport transfers.
When does the R+V certificate apply?
Whenever you book at least two different travel services for the same trip within 24 hours – creating a linked travel arrangement under § 651w BGB. Example: villa + airport transfer.
What is a "linked travel arrangement"?
A linked travel arrangement exists when an agent enables a customer to separately select and pay for at least two different travel services for the same trip – such as accommodation + transfer + rental car – and these bookings occur within 24 hours.
What does the insolvency protection cost me?
Nothing extra. The R+V protection for linked travel arrangements does not result in any additional costs for you – we pay the premium to R+V.
What is not covered?
The customer money protection only applies in the event of insolvency. For other risks such as illness, trip cancellation, trip interruption or luggage loss, we recommend taking out a separate travel insurance.
How do I receive the insurance certificate for my booking?
With each booking confirmation involving a linked travel arrangement, you will automatically receive our R+V certificate by email. You can also download it as a PDF at the top of this page at any time.
Does this also apply if I only book a villa?
If you book a villa exclusively without any additional services, it is purely an agency service. In this case, the respective villa owner is your contractual partner.
How do I recognise a reputable agent in general?
Look for a valid insurance certificate from a well-known insurer, complete legal information, transparent terms and conditions, and secure payment methods. My Holiday Reisecenter GbR based in Giengen an der Brenz meets all these criteria.
The customer money protection described here only protects you against insolvency. If you also want to be insured against illness, accident or professional impediment, we recommend taking out a separate travel insurance.
